The truth of faith or of belief is thus practical only. Knowledge alone is primarily and literally true.

We contend that in the absence of knowledge, we naturally support an intellectual attitude to super-sensible reality through belief or faith. But this is bound by its very nature to be a transitory state. No-one can permanently rest in faith. Faith demands to be transformed into knowledge and is only justified by knowledge. Till this justification is forthcoming, there is bound to remain in faith an element of doubt. Doubt is indicative not only of inadequate knowledge, but also of the subjectivity of it. The truth of faith or of belief is thus practical only. Knowledge alone is primarily and literally true. As long as knowledge has not arisen, the truth of belief is necessarily in doubt. It is therefore a necessity of our intellectual life that we must rise above the subjectivity of belief to the objectivity of truth. Advaita Vedanta enables us to do so.

Advaitism, we can truly say, has all the important elements of religion present in it,—faith in the scripture, discipleship, the goal of self-realization and all those inner qualities of moral purity which are necessary for the knowledge of the Highest Spiritual Reality. Only it is not religion as ordinarily understood. It is not a religion of dogma. A dogma, unlike knowledge, is a challenge to reason. Its only justification lies in our emotional and volitional life. Truth needs no such justification. It transforms our emotions and our volitions by a necessity of its own nature. The religion of Truth thus supersedes all other religion.

From a material point of view, self-awareness is the big bang.

From a nondual point of view, self-awareness is awareness,

and the self in self-awareness is maya.

Conditioned consciousness is the stuff of maya.

The mind is the stuff of conditioned consciousness.

and awareness is the stuff of deconstruction.

Another name for conditioned consciousness is materialism.

All roads in the westen empire lead to scientific materialism.

The western empire co-opted science in the same way as constantine co-opted christianity.

The first law of scientific materialism is that consciousness is produced by the body-mind.

This is the crown of belief.

The first paramahavakya of the rebel rishis is prajnanam brahma.

Consciousness is the absolute. The body-mind is dream-produced by consciousness.

Prajnanam brahma is not dogma, my dear mu. It’s a statement of fact.

And you’re not being asked to blindly believe these words. But your mission, if you accept it, is to confirm them in realization.

This Simple Fact of Consciousness

i.

Thought filters consciousness. This is called emotion.

When such thoughts and their emotions are accepted as reality, this is called belief.

Belief is nothing but a thought form. Thus reality is not a form.

ii.

Forms appear in consciousness. Consciousness does not appear in form. This is the initial key to going further.

Materialists, both the scientific and religious kinds, think consciousness appears in form. Or from form.

This form of belief in scientific materialism is called theory. This form of belief in religion is called dogma.

iii.

The fact that form is appearing in consciousness is not an act of belief, either theoretical or dogmatic.

Understanding this simple fact of consciousness is purely experiential, strictly observational, and innately natural.

Some call this understanding an awakening, insight, satori, savikalpa samadhi, or aha!

Belief equals thought plus emotion. In circularity, belief is like a whirlpool.

The mind prefers duality.

If nonduality minus maya equals duality,

then nonduality equals duality plus maya.

Like Vedantic Gods of Maya

i.

To the three states of consciousness, the five superimpositions, and the seven stages of self-awareness,

atman is brahman, brahman is not atman, atman is brahman is parabrahman, aum.

If awareness is absolute, awareness is simply self-aware.

Self awareness, on the other hand, is more complex. It’s going to take some maya.

The manifest universe is the universal consciousness of self-awareness.

Within that universe appears an evolutionary mind forgetting and remembering the self.

The manifest universe is the god Isvara. Isvara is brahman mixed with maya.

The mind is like dividing brahman into brahman and maya, and then identifying with the maya.

Shiva is deconstructing this misidentification, Brahma is creating an instrumental myth,

and Vishnu is permeating and maintaining that spontaneous realization.

ii.

Myth is diy.

Like a quilt.

Brahma makes the myth.

Shiva is consciousness talking to consciousness, deconstructing conditioned consciouness.

If Isvara is the manifest (brahman mixed with maya) universe of consciousness, Vishnu permeates this universal consciousness with realization (atman is brahman).

Maya is just a dream.

Shiva without Brahma is deep maya.

Brahma without Shiva is long maya.

Isvara without Vishnu is materialism.

Vishnu without Isvara is spiritualism.

Shiva and Brahma is the practice.

Isvara and Vishnu is the nondual wisdom.

The Ballad of Brahman Isn't Atman

1.

Mind is like the steel of conditioned consciousness,

Forged in the fires of atomic maya,

Cut into keys unlocking self-awareness

By the locksmith yogis and yoginis inhabiting samsara.

2.

And consciousness is the stuff of self-awareness,

That omnipotence of brahman knowing brahman,

Knowing atman is brahman but brahman isn’t atman,

For brahman isn’t brahman divided by maya.

3.

And Maya is like the number zero,

Where anything multiplied by maya is maya

but anything divided by maya is undefined.

Far-Out: Reappropriating Woo

Materialism rules the waves. In the west, the emperor doesn’t convert to Christianity as much as Christianity is acquired by the empire. Just another hostile takeover of a people’s god.

When the new gods go scientific, the new religion goes scientific materialism, instead of spiritual materialism. Look, the empire is all about its materialism.

When the going gets weird, consciousness turns pro. That consciousness is foundational, prajnam brahma, is not some mere commandment, but one's primal declaration of independence.

The empire calls this foolishness a bunch of woo! Some in the east call it maya. Some in the far east call it koan. Some in the west call it paradox. Aumdada is reappropriating woo for the far-out west.

Consciousness is the stuff of woo; belief is the stuff of materialism. Does a dog have buddha nature? Woo. Materialism isn't woo; it's objective fantasy. Prajnanam brahma is woo one. 

Dirty Advaita

Yes, the body-mind is finite, but the universal force enlivening it isn’t. So you’ve got to ask yourself one question, punk. Are you body-mind or universal force?

Does the body-mind create the universal force or does the universe create the body-mind? Jesus, that’s like a no-brainer, wouldn’t you agree, my friend?

Look, the sun is actually the manifestation of that, which for lack of mythic creativity, is called a black hole. Don’t buy some opposing scientific religion, free bird. That atman is brahman, after all, is a fact.

Let’s do the math. If the body-mind is the manifestation of this universal life force, and the sun of consciousness is the manifestation of that black hole beyond all thought, then that which is beyond thought is often called omnipotent and omnipresent. Tattvamasi, Subhuti.

Knowing Knowledge

Knowing is not knowledge and knowledge is not knowledgeable. If knowing is being, and knowledge is the mirroring happening in said knowledge,

then knowledgeable is knowing all about the wooden, metal, or plastic frame; the transparent glass; and the reflecting silver, chromium, tin, aluminum, or nickel.

After all, the point of knowledge is the knowing, and not becoming knowledgeable materialists such as scientists, lawyers, philosophers, or priests. Not that there’s anything wrong with those careers.

If another word for knowing is being, then another word for knowledge is wisdom. Other words for knowledgeable are memorizing, specializing, and believing.

Mythical Daydreams of Universal Consciousness

Heads up, words may negate the false and point to the true, but the truth cannot be named.

One is the truth and that is all one needs to know.

Nevertheless, manifestation is not the material universe.

Universal consciousness is the actual universe and a material universe is appearing within this Isvara universe.

Like dreams appearing within the mind, fractal worlds are appearing within this one true consciousness.

As nightmares are the psychological expressions of an individual consciousness, individual consciousnesses are the mythical daydreams of universal consciousness.

Without dreams, there is no psychological evolution.

Without myth, there is no evolutionary self-awareness.

Individual consciousness and universal consciousness is the stuff of self-awareness.

Self-awareness is to absolute awareness as atman is to brahman.

As a reminder, rishis pointing to the moon is the foundation of all nondual myth.

Fools believing in myth are the ruins of all religion.

The Mother of All Paradox

New religions kill old paradoxes first. Truth is never logical. Minus paradox it’s philosophy. Plus paradox is mythical wisdom.

Maya is the mother of all paradox, and all the other paradoxes, koan, and catch-22s are like her children, born of a barren goddess.

Without maya, no one can speak of parabrahman in any significant way. With maya, we can speak of it while knowing it is not an it.

Awareness being self-aware is the body of our maya and the manifest universe is her mind being blown. Scientific materialism calls this the big bang.

The Magnificent Seven Stages of Realization

In dreaming, the mind is the material, instrumental, and efficient cause. In the case of the world in general, that is brahman.

The mind dreams in consciousness. Consciousness dreams in self-awareness. The relationship of self-awareness and absolute awareness is complicated.

Awareness is aware of awareness if awareness is aware of anything. That awareness is not a thing is why self-awareness is mixed up with maya.

Between maya and postmodern deconstruction is avidya. Ignorance. The molecular imprisonment of misidentification.

Tonight’s seven stages of realization are awareness, self-awareness, maya, avidya, deconstruction, nonduality, and reality.

Myths are like pointers. Fools turn them to religion. This fool lives on earth. The moon is prana. The sun is prajna. The black whole is reality.

Expressing Infinity

Nihilism is a nice belief but being is all one knows.

Being nothing takes some serious thought. Being something also takes some thought. Being is not a thought.

Being sees through all thought, even the thought of being lost in thought, be that thought something or nothing. Being is highly intelligent.

In mythical terms, being is the expression of the absolute godhead and parabrahman, or that which can’t be named.

One can only define the expression of the infinite. The infinite is indefinable. Its expression is said to be satcitananda.

Prana Tantra / Prajna Sutra

i.

Consciousness is like this cosmic vehicle of self-awareness

geting lost in the traffic of its mind.

ii.

A dream ensues as consciousness identifies with a certain thought 

and believing it’s left the vehicle, around and round it goes.

iii.

Consciousness is the vehicle. Consciousness has never left the vehicle. 

Consciousness is talking to consciousness, feel the vehicle.

i.

Myth is never logical nor complete. 

Real myth is always true to paradox and illusion.

ii.

Wave-particle duality is the metaparadox of maya.

Love-ego duality is the magical thinking of avidya.

iii.

My pointer is a finger, the moon is my myth.

The sun is my religion. Black holes form the infinite net of my neti neti.

Naturally Parabrahman

i.

No one can hold their breath forever. Similarly, it’s not as much about acquiring the natural state as letting go a false one. Look, you can breathe easy. One is the natural state.

ii.

While the direct meaning of tvam (thou) is jiva (ego) in tat tvam asi, the indicative meaning is atman (the witnessing consciousness). While the direct meaning of tat (That) is Isvara (universal consciousness), the indicative meaning is brahman (the absolute). Atman is brahman.

iii.

Jiva is atman functioning through avidya (ignorance). Isvara is brahman functioning through maya (illusion). Atman is brahman is parabrahman.

iv.

Witnessing consciousness is not a passive entity. Without this witness, there’s nothing to witness. It’s like a flashlight in the dark, if that flashlight is also projecting everything within the circle of light it is witnessing.

v.

They say attention minus thought is absolute awareness. That's what I say. This natural universe is all about self-awareness. If you can read this, this is your universe too.

Ouroboroseeing on Such a Summer Day

To oversimplify the transistor circuit of ouroboric meditation, the signal (I am) input is called prana consciouness,

the collector is called the body-mind, and the resultant emitting output is called prajna (awareness) consciousness.

In the meantime, there’s nothing wrong with samsara. All illusions work in strange ways.

That's what happens when the mind divides the universe of self-awareness into ten thousand parts

instead of just reflecting the absolute wonder of Brahman like a mirror, true collector.

If there’s more than one, one identifies with one of them and disidentifies with all the other. Just look behind the mirror.

The Devil and the Noumenon

i.

Materialism is made of thought.

Without consciousness, there is no thought.

But without thought, there’s still consciousness.

Which one is foundational to you?

Look, as far as the mind can see, there is consciousness.

And as long as there is consciousness, there may be thought.

ii.

Mistaking thought to be foundational,

one identifies with certain thoughts in opposition to others.

Call this divided world of ego,

samsara.

As long as there's this hell, there’s no Self-awareness.

That’s the deal one makes with the devil to usurp the noumenon.

The Paramahavakya Paraverse

Most folk don’t know what words are. That’s why they take them so seriously.

Every word is a metaphor; no word is not a myth. You do you.

Western materialism is 99% myth and 1% experiment. There are no holy scientific words there.

When myth becomes belief, words become rigid. Every blank is filled; the paraverse of poetry is not allowed.

I studied meter in order to play around in free verse. I studied vedanta in order to play around in nonduality.

The essence of vedanta is the paramahavakyas. This is my latest transcreation.

Prajna consciousness is the absolute. That you are.

This awareness is the absolute. I am the absolute.

Constant Consciousness

The pain of the body and the suffering of the mind shall appear in the medicinal sea of consciousness, as one lets go of both. Visualize.

Identifying with the body-mind is a necessary process in reflexive self-awareness. Try not to take it personal.

Re-identifying with the subjective energy of consciousness is the first step in organic self-ascension. I am that I am.

After the great forgetting, evolutionary consciousness requires consciousness to re-identify with consciousness. Naturally.

For the constant in prana consciousness and prajna consciousness is consciousness. That's self-awareness.

The Shimmering Diamond of Samsara

Absolute awareness is obviously self-aware.

Less obviously, self-awareness is universal consciousness.

This self-reflexive universe appears in consciousness.

Thank god, samsara is the evolutionary turning.

It’s not a matter of destiny or doing. Maya is nothing if not both.

It really doesn't matter what you do when you love what you are.

Ego is rock hard carbon love.

Samsara is the simple pressure of space-time.

Self-awareness is like a shimmering diamond.

Timeless. Spaceless. Whole.
