That which turns absolute consciousness into universal consciousness is maya (illusion, dream).
That which turns universal consciousness into individual consciousness is avidya (ignorance, nescience).
That which returns individual consciousness into satcitananda is the same kind of knowledge discovering
an individual body of water appearing in this vast desert is just a mirage.

The shakti of maya is two of course. The first power is projecting the universal out of the absolute. The second power veils the universe with the individual. Thus science is not real. Religion is unreal. Only brahmavidya is real.
