The real self can't be experienced. The real self is the witness.
Awareness descends into attention. Attention descends into dream.
Dream descends into omnipotent Isvara and its seed of Maya.
There's the waking state, the dream state, and the deep myth state.
From the point of view of Maya, it's Saguna Brahman.
From the point of view of Isvara, it's Nirguna Brahman.
Thus the true pov of I Am is Atman.
